At Louisiana Labradors, your investment for one of our puppies goes not only towards health testing and intentional hands on training, but for the experience to watch the puppies grow from day one to the day they join your family!
We post nearly daily photos and videos of how the puppies are raised and what their personalities are progressing to be like. This allows families to follow along for the ride and watch their little family member grow and change!
Our primary goal is to produce beautiful, healthy, well rounded puppies, and to make their transition from us to new families as smooth as possible.
We don't breed to mass produce puppies. When choosing which adults we will breed we consider aesthetics, abilities, athletic drives and health. We perform costly health testing on the adults to help make breeding and nutrition decisions. We pour time and energy into both the adults and puppies in the form of exercise, training, play, affection and more.
This training includes ENS and ESI on our newborn puppies:
*Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) / (designed by military to increase working dog performance and health benefits)
*Early Scent Introduction (ESI) / (designed to improve scenting ability)
(Read more details about ENS and ESI on our FAQ page).
(Check out a few videos of us performing ENS and ESI on our Facebook page!)
Our puppies are raised in our own home and socialized with kids, other animals (cats etc), given outdoor playtime, car rides, water/pool time and more to prepare them for life with their new family. They are also started on house breaking, exposed to crate training, basic commands and more! We aim for the puppies to have a nice balanced start in life so that they can adapt more easily to life with their new owner - whether it be for sport, hunting or family companion.
New families will have lots of their own introductions and exposures to provide to their new puppy, but we try to help them be as well rounded and adaptable as possible before they go to new homes and experience new things!

The cost of our puppies varies depending on the parents, any health testing performed, any titles or certifications earned, and several other factors (including current veterinarian rates, food costs, travel expense and such).
When it comes to choosing a puppy as a lifetime companion, the cheapest thing you will do is the initial purchase of that puppy! The ongoing care and devotion for years to come will be the real expense to prepare for!
*Deposits are usually accepted once a litter is born and we know how many pups are available.
*Please message us for more details if you are interested in a puppy!
